Elizabeth M. Kidder, 86, of Owatonna, died Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Cedarview Care Center. She was born July 7, 1925 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Edward and Francis (Hess) Ballstadt. She attended Owatonna School and graduated from Claremont High School in 1943. She married Frank Kidder on January 12, 1945 at the Presbyterian Church in Claremont and in their union had eleven children. They farmed on Claremont Street until 1966 and in 1979 they moved to Claremont. She then worked as a waitress and cook at Frank's in Claremont. She was also caretaker at Claremont Street Cemetery. In 1987, they made their home in Owatonna and became apartment managers at Southway Manor. She was a member of The Associated Church in Owatonna. She also enjoyed ceramics and taught classes out of her home. Liz was a gracious hostess and loved visiting with family friends. She is survived by her ten children, Diane (and Lloyd) Erler of West Concord, Robert (and Lorna) Kidder of Owatonna, Jean Kidder of Owatonna, David Kidder of Owatonna, Rich (and Ernie) Kidder of Plymouth, Deb (and Jim) O''Regan of Owatonna, Brian (and friend Pom) Kidder of Maui, HI, Kevin (and Julie) Kidder of Rochester, Michael (and Pam) Kidder of Owatonna, and Kim (and Dale) Fisher of Owatonna; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Donna Ballstadt and Gladys Ballstadt both of Owatonna. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Sr., son, Frank Jr., three grandchildren, Shannon, Chad, and Tara, four brothers, and two sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at The Associated Church on Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM . Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9:30 AM at The Associated Church with Pastor Jim Oberg officiating. Interment will be in the Claremont Street Cemetery in Claremont.
