Ellouise M. Parrish , 92, of Medford, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Homestead Hospice House. She was born April 30, 1919 in Merton Township, Steele County, Minnesota the daughter of Lawrence and Susan (Walton) Robinson. She attended school in Medford and Owatonna. She married Lloyd Parrish on September 8, 1934 in Iowa. They farmed in the Waseca and Morristown areas until 1948. They purchased a farm in rural Medford and moved there in the spring of 1948, where Ellouise resided after her husband's death in 1998. She also worked at the Owatonna Canning Company and Owatonna State School. Ellouise was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Medford where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by four daughters, Faye Noble of Kenyon, Marjorie (and James) Moeckly of Owatonna, Crystal Markowitz of Edwardsville, IL, Carol (and Roger) Pitan of Medford; two sons, Leonard (and Rose) Parrish of Lake City, and Rodney Parrish of Medford; 19 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Robinson of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, daughter, Diane, and infant son, Mitchell, grandchildren, Debra Noble and Darin Pitan, great grandson, Matthew, sister, Margery Barden, and brother, Charles Robinson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and at Congregational United Church of Christ on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Congregational United Church of Christ in Medford with The Reverend Lou Bender officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Grove Cemetery in Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Congregational United Church of Christ or donors choice.
