Elmer C. Wilker, age 90, of Owatonna, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Koda Living Community.
He was born on December 12, 1929, in Owatonna, the son of Herman and Ethel (Brocker) Wilker. On July 7, 1951, he married Hazel Sellner in Camp Rucker, Alabama. Elmer dairy and crop farmed in the Meriden area, was a carpenter building houses for local businesses, owned and operated a sheet rocking business and worked at OTC for 15 years and then retired.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and playing scratch-off tickets. His family meant everything to him. He worked hard to provide for them and make sure they had everything they needed.
He is survived by daughters, Leigh Ann (David) Kraay, Barb (William) Wilcox, Debra (Robert) Viegut, Mary Jo (James) Pelinka, Kristine (Scott) Hartle; sons, Burnett Wilker and Curtis (Mary) Wilker; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Wilker; son, Gregory Wilker; grandson, Nicholas Papenfus; parents, Herman and Ethel Wilker; and sister, Lucille Sorenson.
A graveside service will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later due to COVID-19.
