Emil F. Rieck, 76, of Medford, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Residence. He was born August 11, 1932 in Lemond Township, the son of Erick and Edna (Schroeder) Rieck. Emil attended school at District 35 in Lemond Township, and then started farming on the family farm. Emil married Lorraine Miller October 19, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owatonna. He later worked at Green Giant in Montgomery and for AMPI in Owatonna. Emil was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and enjoyed fishing and visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, brother, Norman (and Leona) Rieck of Owatonna, sister, Verna (and Willis) Yule of Owatonna; nieces and nephews Audrey (and Veryl) Morrell, Donna (and Steve) Jensen, Cindy (Tom Abbott III) Yule, Diane (John) Monson, Colleen (Nick Spinler) Vasicek, Kim (John) Pirkl, Curt (Amy) Rieck, Shelly (and Chris Andreasen) Rieck, Kevin (and Carrie) Rieck, Karla (and Chuck) Larsen, Randy (and Cassidy) Rieck, Kristin (and Adam Ulrich) Rieck, many great nieces and nephews, and friends and neighbors. His parents, one sister, and one nephew preceded him in death Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home Wednesday, November 19 from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Gary Rusinko officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
