Erma Mae Jensen, 85, of Owatonna, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Koda Living Community in Owatonna, Minnesota. She was born April 2, 1929 in Lakeland, Minnesota the daughter of Martin and Ruth (Davis) Underdahl. Erma attended school in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. Erma worked at Jostens and Federated Insurance. In 1950, she moved to Santa Rosa, California and worked at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant. In 1952, she moved to Los Angeles, California, and worked at Plastic and Rubber Maufacturing Company. In 1953, Erma moved back to Moland, Minnesota. She worked at Owatonna Tool Company where she met Lyman Jensen. On February 3, 1955, Erma married Lyman Jensen and family. They lived and farmed at rural Claremont until April 2000, when they moved to Owatonna. Erma enjoyed traveling, crafts, painting, making shell jewelry, woodcrafts, making cards, and working on genealogy and scrapbooking. In 2014, Erma was chosen as Valentine Queen and resident of the month at Koda Living Community. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and past member of Peace Lutheran Church, Claremont. She is survived by her two daughters, Marietta (and Vance) Lee of Millville, and Lorene (and Dean) Worke of Waseca; one son, James (and Pam) Jensen of Dodge Center; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Norlyne Underdahl of Kenyon, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyman Jensen; three brothers, Melvin, Elmer, and Richard. Visitation will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Owatonna on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Karl Korbel officiating. Interment will be in the Moland Lutheran Cemetery in Merton Township. Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or Owatonna Home Care and Hospice.
