Ermadell Ruth Knutson, 87, of Owatonna died Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Benedictine Living Community.

She was born on February 16, 1936 in Algona, Iowa to John and Alice (Harmen) Gross. Ermadell attended and graduated from Hayfield High School before attending North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, majoring in Music. Ermadell married Ted Knutson Jr. on March 19, 1960. They travelled around to many different states as evangelists before moving back to Hayfield in 1973. She loved to crochet, sing, and grow vegetables for canning.

She is survived by her sons, Mark (and Tammy) Knutson of Medford, Steve (and Rebecca) Knutson of Dodge Center, Ted (and Becky) Knutson of Clarion IA, Dan Knutson of Faribault; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Knutson; parents, John and Alice.

There will be a private family service.
