Ernest Francis Ernie Albert, 78, of Owatonna, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at Koda Living Community. Ernest was born December 8, 1939 in Owatonna, the son of Glen and Eileen (Muedeking) Albert. He served in the United States Navy from 1957-1960. Ernest enjoyed gambling and traveling to casinos. He once said that he felt the most alive when he was walking into a casino. Ernie is survived by his 4 children, Kent (Renee) Albert, Sherri Albert, Lee Albert, and Mike Albert; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife Carole Boyles; great-granddaughter, Isabella Kniefel; and aunt, Gladys Albert. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
