Ervin A. Woker, 90, of Meriden, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Koda Living Community in Owatonna. He was born April 2, 1923 in Meriden Township the son of Alfred and Tillie (Schroeder) Woker. He graduated from the rural schools and worked with his father on the farm. Ervin married Louise Abbe on June 24, 1945 in Meriden Township at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church. After their marriage, they lived in Owatonna for a year and then moved to the family farm. He retired from farming in 1988 and they continued to live on the farm. Mr. Woker was on the school board of Dist. 2116 for many years and served as treasurer for Meriden Township for 14 years. He was a life long member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church and served on the church council, ushered and worked on various committees in the church. He enjoyed family activities, playing his accordion, playing cards and visiting with friends. He is survived by his wife Louise, children, Phyllis Harper, Coon Rapids, MN; Daryl (Sandra) Woker, Lakeville, MN; David Woker, Owatonna, MN; Janice Tollefson, Springfield, MN; Corinne (Thomas) Zangel, Mankato, MN; Kristine (Ben) Drafall, Geneva, IL; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Fritze and an infant brother. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna on Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church, Meriden Township with a visitation one hour prior. The Reverend Kenneth Bowman will be officiating.
