Esther L."Etta" Hosfield, 92of Owatonna died on August 28, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Clare Bridge of Owatonna at the age of 92. Esther Louise Schebloom was born on September 23, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Bessie Julia Schoof, and Oscar Linus Schebloom. She was the oldest of their 7 children. She grew up in Minneapolis and attended the U of MN where she met Charles D. Hosfield. They married on August 21, 1943 and moved to Jacksonville, FL where Chuck was stationed at the Naval Base. After Chuck finished his military service, they moved to Owatonna, MN where they raised their 6 children. She was a homemaker, gardener and help to her husband in his business of Hosfield & Associates, as well as companion in his camping activities. She attended the Kingdom Hall in Owatonna. She is survived by their 6 children: Jean (Austin) Maley, Roswell, NM; Linda (Dennis) Eisen, Owatonna, MN; Ruth Hosfield, Hamden, CT; John (Marva) Hosfield, Owatonna, MN; James (Debra) Hosfield, Rochester, MN; Paul Hosfield, Apple Valley, MN, as well as 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings: Joann (David) Griffin, Corona, CA; Ruth (Arthur/Chip) Frederick, Citrus Heights, CA; Donn (Mary) Schebloom, Minneapolis, MN; Bette (Rick) Conte, Santa Fe, NM and her brother-in-law, John R. (Doris) Hosfield (Hopkins, MN) She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003, her parents, and her two sisters Phyllis and Harriet. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday September 12, 2015 from 3-5 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Memorials are prefered to Owatonna Foundation or the Owatonna Hospice House.
