Esther M. Krippner, 92, of Owatonna, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at her home Esther Mary Anna Lutgens was born October 20, 1916 in Goodrich, North Dakota the daughter of Albert and Anna (Joriman) Lutgens. The family moved to Deerfield Township in Steele County in 1927 and there Esther was raised and attended school. She was united in marriage to Herbert P. Krippner on September 4, 1940. Esther and Herb farmed the family farm until 1971 when they retired and moved to Owatonna. Esther was an active member of the United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Know Your Neighbor (KYN) Club, delivered meals on wheels and volunteered at Cedarview Care Center for 35 years. She also enjoyed her "special" support group since her husband's death. Family, friends and faith were very important to her. She is survived by six children, Stanley (and Paulette) Krippner of Faribault, Raymond Krippner of Deerfield Township, Karen (and Gerard) LaFond of Owatonna, Virginia Watkins of Rochester, Roger Krippner of Great Falls, MT: Neil (and Nancy) Krippner of Rochester, 8 grandchildren, Jerry Krippner, Robin Nelson, Todd Krippner, Kevin Krippner, Chad Krippner, Jared Krippner, Megan LaFond, Kim Watkins and 8 great grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Herbert of 55 years, her parents, Albert and Anna, six brothers and a grandson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held January 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church with Pastor Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the donor''s choice
