Obituary

Ethel M. Ennis , 70, of Mesa, AZ formerly of Owatonna died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at her home. Ethel was born March 6, 1939 in Salida, Colorado the daughter of Orville and Joyce (Kinder) Dillman. At the age of three, Ethel moved with her family to West Concord and there she was raised and graduated from West Concord High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Ennis on August 2, 1958 in Episcopal Cathedral Of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault. They moved to Kodiak, AK while Bob was serving in the United States Navy. They then moved to Vallejo, CA. Ethel and Bob then returned to Minnesota making their home in Owatonna where Ethel worked at Josten's, Steele County Courthouse and then for Northwestern Bell where she worked for 21 years. Ethel retired in 1994. After traveling and spending winter months in Arizona, Ethel and Bob decided to make Mesa their home in 2005. Ethel enjoyed making ceramics. She loved music and played the accordion, the organ and saxophone. Ethel and Bob enjoyed traveling also making trips to Germany, Switzerland and Italy. They enjoyed going to the Eagles in Faribault on Saturday nights where they would square dance and polka. She is survived by her husband Robert Ennis of Mesa; a daughter, Sheila (and Jim) Brown of Owatonna; three sons, Earl Ennis of Owatonna; Scott Ennis of Goodyear, AZ; Todd Ennis of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, Jessica Thomas, Ryan and Randy Ennis, Brian, Mark and Bobby Brown; and one great grandson, Gavin Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Episcopal Cathedral Of Our Merciful Saviour one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Episcopal Cathedral Of Our Merciful Saviour with The Very Reverend James Zotalis officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Visitation: 05/27/2009 16:00 05/27/2009 20:00 Service: and one hour prior to the service in the church 05/28/2009 10:30
