Eva Nicolai, 96, of Owatonna, died Monday, November. 12, 2018, at Medford Senior Care. Eva Eisenlohr was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Montevideo, Minnesota, to Earl and Erna Eisenlohr, the oldest of six children. She married Bill Vogt and they later divorced. She married George Nicolai on Nov. 14, 1950, and they moved to Owatonna in 1953, where they made their home with their son, Donald. Both Eva and George worked at Uber Glove Co. in Owatonna. Eva enjoyed bowling, bingo, fishing and going to the casino. She liked to boast that she would always catch the biggest fish. She loved cooking and made many meals for the family. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren. She had a heart for everyone and loved everyone all the same. She is survived by her son, Don Vogt of Owatonna; her sister, Darlene Tolin, of Benson; four grandchildren, David (Nancy) Vogt of Brainerd; Tom (Sherri) Vogt of Owatonna; Leslie (Wayne) Hedberg of Yuma, Arizona; and Karie (Bob) Seykora of Owatonna; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren Eva was preceded in death by her husband, George; her daughter-in-law, Kay Vogt; her parents; and four brothers, Harold (Ethel), Clyde (Verna), Herb (Janet) and Milton. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday, November 16, 2018 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Reverend John Weisenburger officiating.
