Obituary

Evalyn Powell Watson- Age 94 Born at Fort Chadbourne, Texas on April 13, 1921 Died Owatonna, Minnesota on July 15, 2015 Daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, child of God, resident of Heaven! Our mom! What a wonder- woman she was! Who can say enough about this everyday, fabulous woman, loved so very much by her husband, John, her family and friends, and her children and grandchildren? We each have special and individual memories of her; she was playful at times, always a good listener, compassionate and kind. She taught her children well and morally; the things of God and scripture were our guide. One thing we remember her saying that really stuck with us was, Honey, I don't always know what to tell you to do, other than just do what is ˜right' and you probably can't go wrong! We always tried to follow that piece of advise and, when we did, things usually turned out OK! Mom was a very intellectual and well-read person. She loved to read, and loved to figure things out. She never gave herself credit for being ˜smart', but she was! We were always very proud of her and proud to be with her. How in the world do you sum up a life in a few short paragraphs? It can't be done. Her whole life up to the very end was used of God - how much better can it be than that? Her sweet sharing, caring disposition always put others first. She was humble and kind. Her Love always showed and she couldn't stop loving her whole live through! It was just throughout every strand of her being, even during her terrible ALZ disease¦Love came through! I think that was her legacy¦ Love. It makes me smile. We will all miss her hugs! Her family members are John L. Watson, spouse (deceased), Evalyn Zenoba Warwick, daughter (deceased), Arla Kay Dial, daughter and husband Dan of Osage Beach, MO, Donna Sue Davies, daughter and husband Ric of Payson, AZ, and John Lynn Watson, son and wife Eldora of Rockford, Il.
