Evelyn M. Aase, 92, of Kenyon, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Kenyon Sunset Home. Evelyn was born April 25, 1920 in Modena Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Priefert) Baker. After her father died, the family moved to Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Otis Aase on September 12, 1942. They made their home near Kenyon. Evelyn worked at Foldcraft and spent many years as a homemaker. She also volunteered at Third World for many years as well. Otis died on 1997. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where she enjoyed helping in the kitchen and volunteered at the VFW in Kenyon. She is survived by her grandchildren Traci Schultz of North Branch; Elise (and Barry) Boehland of Lonsdale; Taia (and Brad) Hermel of Janesville; Tara (and Keegan) Quinn of Bellechester; Trevor Aase of Wanamingo; Scott Aase in South Carolina; four great grandchildren Rachael and Jacob DeVries; Emily Aase; Cameron Hermel; and a half brother Louis Jr.(and LaVonne) Aase of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband Otis Aase (1997), her daughter Audrey Bealka (2001) and her son Bruce Aase (2008). Visitation will be at First Evangelical Lutheran Church on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with The Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon.
