Evelyn M. Buelow, 88, of Owatonna, died Sunday, September 27, 2020 at her home. She was born October 23, 1931, in Owatonna, the daughter of Otto and Martha (Woodrich) Kroll. Evelyn was baptized on November 22, 1931, and confirmed on August 26, 1945. She attended country school in Lemond Township. She met Myron Buelow and they courted for 20 years. On September 10, 1972, they were married at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna. They enjoyed dancing especially square dancing and were active in the Steele Stepper Square Dance Club. They traveled across the United States to exotic poultry shows making many memories along the way. Evelyn worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years and eventually owned Walnut Street Beauty Shop. There she met and created many relationships with her co-workers and clients throughout the years. Evelyn was known for being very friendly, outgoing and really loved being around people. She coordinated and planned bus trips to local casinos. Evelyn went for the comradery during those trips which she truly cherished. She is survived by her nieces, Ellen Bremer of Owatonna and June (and Ernie) Valdez of Fort Worth, TX and their families; special friends, Duane and Phyllis Urch and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Myron Buelow who died in 1973; brother, Harold Kroll; sister-in-law Freda Kroll, nephew, Gary Bremer and niece, Charlene Sanders. Visitation will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
