Evelyn Dorothy Cox, 84, of Owatonna, was taken home to her Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2008. She was born August 3, 1923 in Owatonna the daughter of John and Lydia (Neubauer) Gasner. Evelyn Gasner married Kenneth Cox Feb 8, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford. The couple resided in the Owatonna area during their entire life together. Evelyn was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, putting together puzzles and playing Chinese checkers with her grandkids. Evelyn is survived by her grandson, Allen (and Cathy) Cox of Owatonna; granddaughter, Dawn (and Darin) Hanneman of Owatonna; daughter-in-law, Gloria (and Tom Edlund) Cox-Edlund of Owatonna; great grandchildren, Anthony Hanneman, Katelyn Hanneman, Melissa Cox; sister-in-law, Lolita Engelhardt of Postville, IA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, granddaughter, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00am at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
