Evelyn M. Karna, age 94, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, November 02, 2016 at Koda Living Community. She was born on August 22, 1922 in Brocket, North Dakota the daughter of Frank and Mary (Pesek) Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Albert (2002) and son, Darrel. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Linda) Karna of Rapid City, SD, Don Karna of Custer, SD, Kathy (Robert) Greig of Rapid City, SD and Bonnie (Bruce) Francis of Owatonna; five grandchildren, Leah (Jim Fosness and Tasheena (Jason Keller) Wigham both of Owatonna, Shad Karna of Custer, SD, Tanya (Al) Morava and Jenni (Greg) Darlow both of Rapid City, SD, and 11 great-grandchildren (and her granddogs). Evelyn enjoyed sewing (making many beautiful quilts and stuffed animals), baking, dancing singing and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family would like to thank Evelyn's caring and compassionate caregivers at Koda. She was treated with dignity, respect and had many good laughs with the staff. God bless those angels! A special thank you from Evelyn's children to their sister Bonnie and her husband, Bruce and their family for the loving care they have given to their mother over the years. Spending time with family and her faith were very important to Evelyn. Although she faced many challenges, she never complained. She made the most of the life she was given. Her kind, fun-loving personality will be cherished and missed by all who loved her dearly. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Service at 3:00pm Saturday, November 5, 2016 all at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. Deacon Pat Fagan will officiate.
