Evelyn Lorraine Remme, 79, of Dennison, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. She was born October 18, 1931 in Iron River, Michigan the daughter of George and Lillian (Farr) Armstrong. She moved with her family to Dundas in 1943 and attended school in Dundas and Northfield. Evelyn married Albert Remme October 6, 1951 at the parsonage of Rev. Hanes in Dundas. The couple farmed and shared a wonderful life together for nearly 60 years. Evelyn was a member of Vang Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching wildlife that would come in her yard on the farm. She collected dolls and loved her cats. Evelyn also enjoyed going to car shows with her husband. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Albert Remme of Dennison; brother, Leland (and Betty) Armstrong of Northfield and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm and at Vang Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10am to 11am. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11am at Vang Lutheran Church with The Reverend Terje Hausken officiating. Interment will be in the Vang Lutheran Church Cemetery.
