Evelyn C. Warner, 88, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Highview Hills by Walker Care Center in Lakeville. She was born January 9, 1925 in Meriden Township, Minnesota the daughter of John and Augusta (Middlestadt) Steinberg. Evelyn graduated from Owatonna High School in 1943, and then was united in marriage to Lloyd Warner on June 9, 1943 at St. John Lutheran Church. While Lloyd was serving in the Air Force the couple lived in Albany, GA, and Rome, NY, later moving back to Owatonna in 1945. Evelyn worked at Uber Glove, Jerry's Supper Club, AP Grocery, and the Village Cafe later retiring from Uber Glove. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking her famous cinnamon rolls, and playing cards. She is survived by her two sons Stephen (Dorinda) of Lakeville, and Michael (Soon) of Circle Pines, her granddaughter Lauren Warner, step grandson Tae (Su) Yang, and great grandchild Anika Yang. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Mark, husband Lloyd, and two sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday July 20, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 20, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Intern Pastor Minna Quint officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
