Fern H. Wiuff, 90, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Owatonna Hospital. Fern was born April 20, 1918 near Dodge Center, Minnesota the daughter of William and Hazel (Blanchard) Wohlfeil. Fern was raised and attended school in Dodge County. She was united in marriage to Lee Wiuff on February 12, 1949 in Kasson. They made their home in Claremont and in 1956, they moved to Owatonna. Fern worked for Truth Incorporated for 20 years retiring in 1984. Lee died in January of 1981. She continued making her home in Owatonna until the time of her death. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxilary. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and embroidery. Fern won several ribbons at the Steele County Fair for her embroidered work. She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Wiuff of Council Bluffs, IA; Susan (and David) Stark of Owatonna; two sisters, Evelyn Jarstad of Kenyon; Helen (Forest) Higgins of Rochester; a brother, Leonard Wohlfeil of West Concord and two grandsons, Michael Stark of Ellendale and Matthew Stark of Owatonna. Fern was preceded in death by her husband Lee, her parents and three brothers Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, December 22 from 9-11 AM. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
