Florence M. Bjoraker, 90, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born August 7, 1919 in Havana Township, Minnesota, the daughter of Chris and Stena (Peterson) Hanson. Florence graduated from Owatonna High School in 1938. Florence married Edwin Bjoraker November 25, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church and the couple made their home in Owatonna. Edwin died in 1969. Florence was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active with the Altar Guild and the service group. She was also a member of NARF. Florence enjoyed flowers, baking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Carol (and William) Ferris of Cedar Falls, IA; Dr. Julie (and Jeff Ward) Bjoraker of Dover, MN; and son, Dr. David Bjoraker of Gainesville, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Mary Ferris, Matthew (and Jean) Ferris, Catherine (and Chad) McGinnis, and Caryn (and Charles) Lantz; and three great- grandchildren, Andrew Ferris, Martin Ferris, and Elizabeth Ferris. Her parents, husband, and one brother, George Hanson, preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Lestock officiating. Internment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
