Florence G. Feldmann, 103, of Kenyon, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Kenyon Sunset Home.
Florence was born May 29, 1914 on the farm in East Chain, MN. She was the daughter of Michael and Pelegeia (Shumski) Kotewa. Florence married Ferdinand H. Feldmann on April 30, 1946 in Fairmont, MN. They farmed in Fairmont, St. James and Kenyon, MN. Upon their retirement in 1990 they moved into town of Kenyon, MN.
Florence was a homemaker, beautician, and nurses aid (at the Kenyon Sunset Home). Florence has always been active and involved in organizations such as church, SE Senior Citizens, Extension Club and Kenyon Country Club. She led a group of senior citizens in an exercise program for 25 years and drove local senior citizens to their doctor's appointments. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, word puzzles, TV and her friends.
She is survived by her 3 children, Dianne (Robert) Vangness of Kenyon, Henry Feldmann of Champlin, and Beverly (Bruce) Hogy of Morristown; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ferdinand (1995); son, John Feldmann (2014); granddaughter, Karissa Feldmann (2013); three sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kenyon on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 108 Bullis St., Kenyon, MN 55946 with Reverend Kevin Kenney officiating. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Kenyon. Memorials are preferred to ALS Association, Autism Society, Heartland Hospice, Kenyon Sunset Home, or St. Michael's Catholic Church.
