Florence J. Larson, 91, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Homestead Hospice House. She was born September 12, 1919 in Williams Township, Koochiching County, Minnesota the daughter of Carl and Karka (Gustave) Stenberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. Florence was one of eleven children and became a child of the State School Orphanage. She was united in marriage to Ervin Krenke and in their union had two children, Gerald and Janet. They resided in Ellendale where they farmed. Ervin died in 1963. She then married George Larson and they lived in Minneapolis and Ellendale. Florence enjoyed fishing, gardening and flowers, especially marigolds. She also enjoyed visiting with friends, her dog Susie and her cat Snoopy. She is survived by daughter, Janet VanDenHemel of Owatonna; daughter-in-law, Laura Krenke of Ellendale; grandchildren, Angie (and Brian) Judson of Cornell, MI, Alan (and Diane) Krenke of Faribault, and Melody (and Jeff) Ulrich of Waseca; great grandchildren, Jesse, Kaylee, Brian Jr., Zach, Tucker and Mya; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ervin and husband, George, son, Gerald Krenke, son- inlaw, Leo VanDenHemel and her brothers and sisters. Private visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, November 11, 2010. Private graveside services will be held November 11, 2010 Zion Lutheran Cemetery with The Reverend Gary Rusinko officiating. Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House.
