Floyd William Duncan, 94, of Owatonna, died Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie.
He was born June 30, 1929 in Albert Lea, Minnesota the son of William and Abbie (Floyd) Duncan. He grew up in Le Center, Minnesota and graduated from Le Center High School, Class of 1947.
Floyd was united in marriage to Jackie Smith on November 5, 1955 in Le Center, Minnesota. The couple lived in Owatonna where they raised their family. Floyd was employed at Federated Insurance where he was an IBM Card Punch Operator. He retired in 1991. He served in the Minnesota National Guard and received an honorable discharge.
Floyd enjoyed bowling, camping, playing cards and square dancing. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Eagle's Club, the American Legion and the DoSiDo Square Dancing Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Duncan; daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Kremer and Nancy Duncan (Roger Read); granddaughter, Kaci (Zack) Cavallaro and their son, Graham Cavallaro and granddaughter Randi Kremer.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Abbie and son, Charles "Chuck" Duncan (2003).
At Floyd's request, no services will be held. A private burial will be at a later date in St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
