Frances Erma L. Hansen, 83, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Traditions of Owatonna. Frances was born January 1, 1934 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Horn) Hruska. She attended country school. Frances married Donald Bartz in 1950 and in their union had four children, James, Ronnie, Terri, and Debra. They resided in the Waseca area and later divorced. Frances married Wallace Hansen in 1963 and in their union had a daughter, Jennelle. They resided in Owatonna and later divorced. Frances worked at D&G Fur Food, Piggly Wiggly, as a cook at Jack's and retired from Truth. Frances had many good friends. She was a good bowler, loved to dance to Polka music, and play cards. Her main love was bingo. The family would like to thank her bingo family for all the fun times over the years. She was a longtime member and volunteer of Eagles and American Legion. She is survived by her five children, James (Zena) Bartz of Culver, OR, Ronnie Bartz of Bend, OR, Terri (Mark) Demers of Bend, OR, Debra (Al) Olson of Cornville, AZ, and Jennelle (John) Olson of Ellendale; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Dorothy) Hruska of Owatonna; sister, Dorothy Gasner of Owatonna; special cousin, Evelyn Herschberger of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; a great grandson, Alex Karsten. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow the visitation at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Owatonna. Private family services will be held Monday. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Traditions for their loving and good care they gave to their mother. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of Owatonna or donor's choice.
