Obituary

Frank Theodore Huberty Jr., age 83, of Kenyon, passed away August 2, 2015 at District One Hospital, Faribault, Minnesota. Frank was born August 24, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Francis and Marie (Thill) Huberty. Frank attended school in St. Paul and at the age of 14 began working for the City of St. Paul. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Johnson on December 1, 1951 at St. Agnes Church in St. Paul. The couple lived in various places including Milltown, WI and Grantsburg, WI. The couple later moved to Kenyon where Frank worked at Foldcraft. He later worked as a boiler operator for the Canning Factory in both Kenyon and Owatonna. He then began working as a boiler operator and head custodian for the Kenyon School District. Beverly passed away May 3, 2014. Frank loved to socialize with friends downtown and spent many days visiting at Held Chevrolet. He enjoyed reading the St. Paul Pioneer Press and when they stopped delivering to Kenyon, he'd drive to Faribault to pick up the paper. He also liked to do small projects around the house. He is survived by his children Jeannine Huberty of Kenyon; Steven (and Kerry) Huberty of Pine, CO; Christine (and Dean)Carlson of Cushing, WI; David (and Sheryl) Huberty of Belle Plaine; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his siblings, Don (and Midge) Huberty of St. Paul; Leonard (and Barb) Huberty of St. Paul; Kathleen (and Ralph) Dumond of Mendota Heights; Geraldine Lambach of Inver Grove Heights; Joe Huberty of Remer; Mary (and Sherry) Clare of Nye, WI; and Ray (and Janith) Huberty of River Falls, WI; and two special AFS students that lived with the Huberty's while studying at Kenyon High School, Per from Sweden and Helen from Iceland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; his parents; a brother and a sister. There will be a reception and celebration of life for Frank on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon. A short Remembrance service will begin at 5:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon with the Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Burial will be in the Kenyon Cemetery.
