Gail M. Myre Lee, 63, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis after a 25 year courageous battle with diabetes.
Gail was born December 16, 1952 in Owatonna, Minnesota, the daughter of Junior and Margaretta (Forbes) Myre. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Owatonna. Her dad served in the United States Navy and the family moved to the Naval Base in Spain for 4 years where she graduated from high school. The family returned to Owatonna and Gail went to work for Federated Insurance for over 27 years.
Gail enjoyed taking Sunday drives around the lake with her children and loved her cats. She also enjoyed softball, bowling, bingo, murder mysteries, and game shows.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher Lee (and David Mahlman) of Owatonna, Phillip Lee (and Eddie Marquez) of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Johanna Elton of Owatonna; brother, Charlie Myre of Miller, SD; uncle, Archie (and Gladys) Forbes of Hubbard, IA; nieces and nephew, Jessica Cuevas, Bridgett Donker, and Joseph Elton; many cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna with The Reverend Loren Olson officiating. Interment will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna, Minnesota.
