Gary Allen Troff, 53, of Faribault, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 31, 1963 in Owatonna the son of Harold and June (French) Troff. He grew up in rural West Concord. He attended school in West Concord and graduated from West Concord High School in 1982. He continued his education at Oak Hills College and Riverland Tech. He was united in marriage to Sandy Flicek of Lonsdale and the couple had two children, Emily and Alex, and later divorced. Gary worked at a number of manufacturing jobs over the years as a welder and a metal worker. His humble, generous nature was evident in all of the help he gave to people, always putting the needs of others before his own. Spending time with his family and friends was important to him rarely forgetting the face of people he encountered. He also enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his children, Emily Troff of Lonsdale and Alex Troff of Rochester; brothers, Wayne (Wendy) Troff of Rochester and Brian (Pam) Troff of Isanti; nephews, Adam Troff of Winona and Matthew Troff of Rochester and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and June Troff.
A visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, 204 Eugene Street in West Concord on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and at church on Monday one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at Faith Community Church in West Concord at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 11, 2017, with Reverend David Breederland officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery in Concord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
