Obituary

Gaynor Bruce Levos, 81, of Owatonna, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, October 28, 2017. He had been a resident at Brookdale Memory Care (Clarebridge) for the past three years. Gaynor was born in Nebraska the son of a Norwegian immigrant; proud of his heritage. He grew up on the farm. After graduating from high school, he married his high school sweetheart and they moved to Minnesota. He started his own business twice; the first with Howard Hortop and the second after retirement with Lowell Larson. He held various other jobs over the years, the last at the Owatonna Junior High for eighteen years from where he retired in 2001. He served in the National Guard from 1958 to 1964 when he received an honorable discharge. He was a very active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church serving as an elder, usher, choir member and board of church properties. Faith, family and friends were important to him. He was the proud father of two sons and two grandsons. He was a kind, thoughtful, resourceful person. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and son, Eric. He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Bruce (Val); two grandsons and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Mark Rosenau officiating. Interment will be in the Dania Cemetery in Havana Township.
