Obituary

George Adam Clauser, 90, of Owatonna, died Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home. He was born October 19, 1927 in Chicago, IL the son of David and Olive (Kauffman) Clauser. As a young child, George accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior while attending Moody Bible Church in downtown Chicago. George served his Savior faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School teacher while attending Baptist churches in the communities where he lived. George married Diane Kraus August 6, 1966 at Rolling Meadows Baptist Church in Rolling Meadows, IL. The couple made their home in Barrington, IL where they owned and operated Clauser Sheet Metal Works for 38 years. After retiring in 1998, the couple moved to Owatonna to be near family. George enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working with Lionel model trains, watching old westerns and playing computer Scrabble in his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Diane Clauser of Owatonna; daughter, Wendy (and Paul) Larson of Owatonna; son, Wade (and Melissa) Clauser of Wyalusing, PA; seven grandchildren; brother, Willard Clauser of Grayslake, IL; sister, Emily Kueker of Lufkin, TX. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Clauser. Visitation will be at Grace Baptist Church on Wednesday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30am at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor David Levy officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
