Gerald J. 'Jerry' Gasner, 69, of Owatonna, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Homestead Hospice House. He was born February 21, 1943 in, Owatonna the son of Chester and Josephine (Haberman) Gasner. Gerald graduated from OHS and started working at Jostens and later at OMC and then at Wenger for thirty Seven years. He enjoyed motor racing, model trains and tractors, baseball, all motor cars and showing and collecting die cast models. Jerry was previously married to Minnie Fisher and Shelli Gasner. Jerry then married Irene Stevenson August 3, 1994. He is survived by his wife Irene Gasner of Owatonna, daughter, Peggy (and friend Butch Soukup) Berry of Owatonna, son, Roy (and friend Virginia Gasner) Gasner of Owatonna, Darin (and Sara) Gasner of Rochester, step sons, Jeff (and Penny) Stevenson and Mark Stevenson both of Kasson, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, James (and Loretta) Gasner of Owatonna, and one sister, Delores (and Garry) Quaintance of Siloam Springs, AK. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday March 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Mark Rosenau officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna.
