Gertrude J. Pechacek, 83, of Owatonna, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington. She was born November 18, 1926 in Rochester, Minnesota the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Kubat) Seykora, and raised by foster parents Lara and Henry Larson. She then attended parochial school in Ogdenburg, NY. Gertrude then moved back to Minnesota in 1947, and then married Raymond Pechacek January 17, 1954. The couple lived in Bixby, Blooming Prairie, and moved back to Owatonna in 1967. Richard later died in 1976. Her son, Robert Pechacek of Burnsville, and granddaughter Ellen Pechacek also of Burnsville survive her. Her parents, husband Richard, two daughters Alice Marie Pechacek, and Rose Marie Elaine Pechacek, and her daughter preceded her in death in law Carmen Pechacek. Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 1-2 PM. Memorial service will be held Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating.
