Glen O. Krause, 85, of Hope, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna. Glen Otto Krause was born April 28, 1929 on the family farm in Hope, Minnesota, the son of Ervin and Esther (Wodrich) Krause. He attended District #23 country school before graduating from Owatonna High School in 1947. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Talley on September 26, 1951 at St. John Lutheran Church. They made their home in Lemond Township where they farmed and raised their three children. In 1993 Glen retired from farming. He enjoyed working in his garden, cooking, polka music and spending time with his family. He is survived by his two daughters, Diane (Mike) Weber of Owatonna; Donna (James) Dalland of Owatonna; a son, Dennis (Jan) Krause of Faribault; six grandchildren, Laura and Danielle Krause; Scott (Nikki) Weber; Jesse Weber; Jeremy (Laura) Dalland; and Chris (Jenny) Dalland. He is also survived by three great granddaughters, Aubree and Kylie Weber and Aria Dalland and one great grandson Rhyker Dalland, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, his parents and his brother, Richard Krause. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kenneth Bowman officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
