Gloria Ann Johnson, 89, of Owatonna, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Lucas Care Center. She was born December 6, 1925 in Rice County, Minnesota the daughter of Daniel and Amelia (Domrose) Schroht. She was raised in Rice County and attended school and later moved to Owatonna where she continued her education at Owatonna High School. She worked at the Canning Company for 52 years retiring in 2002. She was a longtime member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna and also was a member of the Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary. She was also involved with the Steele Co. Historical Society, the Little Theatre and Senior Place. She spent many happy hours watching the birds. The Hummingbirds were her favorite along with the Gold Finch and Cardinals. She enjoyed sending Christmas cards to family and friends. She also enjoyed various entertainments and was a regular fan at the Little Theatre of Owatonna. She looked forward to the Schroht picnics held each year and birthday parties with her brothers and sisters. Her number one priority though was her two grandsons, Erik and Kristopher and two great granddaughters, Kaylee and Gracie. She is survived by two grandsons, Erik (and Christine) Johnson of Kellogg; Kristopher Johnson of Rochester; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Gracie Johnson of Kellogg; and a daughter-in-law and her husband, Julie (and Paul) Johnson-Miller of Kellogg. She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Johnson (1994); her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Ron Barth officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon.
