Gregory George Amazi, age 68, died on Friday August 7, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1952 in Anoka. He lived in Madelia throughout his childhood. Following graduation in 1970, Greg enlisted in the Air Force. In 1972, Greg and Kristi (Andresen) were married and moved to Fairbanks, Alaska. Following Greg's years in the Service, he and Kristi made their home in Owatonna. Greg had a wonderful family and spent 52 years with the love of his life, Kristi. Together they travelled the world creating memories. Greg cherished his time golfing and playing poker with his buddies, especially that last game of cards on Thursday and that final round of golf on Friday afternoon. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond George and Lorraine Gemma Amazi. Greg is survived by his wife, Kristi; daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Soden, Angela (Kevin) Degel and Amy (Cory) Schultz; grandchildren, Samuel & Miles Soden and Avery & Oliver Degel; siblings, Raeann (Marshall) Carlson, Barbara (Douglas) Heger, Christine (Lynn) Peterson, Wayne (Terese) Amazi and Glenn Amazi. A private celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. As Greg begins his next adventure, we leave you with one of his favorite quotes, "I'm outstanding, but it's bound to get better."
