Harold John Musselman, 96, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca. He was born February 22, 1912 in Wergland Township the son of Howard and Minnie (Schoeneman) Musselman. Harold attended country school in Yellow Medicine County. He married Adeline Hayek November 24, 1937 in Minneota. The couple farmed together near Canby until 1978. Harold never farmed on Sunday throughout his farming career. He was active in Farm Bureau and served on the Wergland Township Board. In 1980, Harold and his wife moved to Owatonna. Harold was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Canby where he served as a trustee. Upon moving to Owatonna, he became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Harold loved draft horses and made farming his hobby as well as his livelihood. He is survived by daughter, Connie (and Doug) Ruth of Owatonna; sons, Dennis (and Jeanne) Musselman of Argyle, TX, Rev. Scott (and Debbie) Musselman of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Stephanie Musselman, Mike (and Joey) Musselman, Greg (and Christine) Ruth, Jon (and Leigh) Ruth, Kirsten (and Nathan) Endrud, Dan (and Jessica) Musselman, Matthew Musselman; 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; sisters, Myrtle, Ruth, Ethel; brother, Kenneth. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday from 9-10am. Funeral services will be held December 20, 2008 at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Lestock officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Foundation or to the donor''s choice.
