Haven Lois Broton, 17, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family. She had a long and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis and a lung transplant. She was born July 12, 2002, in Edina, the daughter of Dan Broton and Melissa Rogers. Haven attended Owatonna High School. She had a love for her cat, Elsa and her pet rabbits. Haven enjoyed riding motorcycle, watching television including Friends and wrestling especially WWE. She was an avid MN Twins baseball fan and loved Joe Mauer. She had a fun and light personality even though her favorite character was the Grinch. Haven would stop at Starbucks for her daily iced white chocolate mocha coffee. She liked shopping and picking out her favorite makeup and nail polish at Ulta Beauty. Haven was a recipient of the Make A Wish Foundation and received a camper name "Haven's Wish". Spring break will always have a special meaning to her family as they took many trips to Florida. Memories and stories that will never be forgotten. She is survived by her parents, Dan Broton and Melissa Rogers of Owatonna; brother, Carter Broton of Owatonna; sister, Lyric Broton of Owatonna; grandparents, Richard and Carol Broton of Byron and Karen Rogers of Owatonna; great-grandma, Josephine Rogers of MO; aunt, Cynthia Rogers of Owatonna, Tammy (Brad) Praznik of Lakeville, JoAnne (Michael) Genzlinger of Chaska; uncle, Steve (Renèe) Broton of Fort Worth, TX; cousins and many extended family. She was preceded in death by grandpa, Allen Rogers; great-uncles, Richard "Doc" Rose and Llyod "Pete" Peterson; great-aunt, Donna Deets. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral service will be held December 27, 2019, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owatonna. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald House.
