It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Hazelle Ellen Flom, who died on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the age of 93 in Angels Care Center, Cannon Falls. Our amazing mother lived life to the fullest with her family and friends in the home she loved until she no longer had the strength to battle her many health problems. Her gentle spirit, wonderful sense of humor and generous heart gave joy and comfort to everyone who knew her. Her faith in God and her love for all His children made the lives she touched far richer for her presence. She lived a wonderful life, and because of her so have we all. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Selma Goudy, her husband Maurice and son Larry, and her sisters Bernie Benson and Dory Nelson. She will be greatly missed by her proud and loving children, Judy (and George) Hill of Los Altos, CA; Mary Gail (and Kevin) Anderson of Kenyon, and Scott (and Lisa) Flom of Eden Prairie, as well as her adoring grandchildren, Matthew (and Sandi) Hill, Maren (and Josh) Mayer, Molly Anderson, Justin, Joshua, Jordan and Janelle Flom and great-grandchildren Brooke and Brady Hill. Greatly mourning her passing too are her devoted sister Bette Quinell of Northfield and brother George Goudy of Cannon Falls. Visitation will be held at the Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday evening, October 30th and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be at Holden Lutheran Church in Kenyon on Friday, October 31st at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Lockerby officiating. Burial will be in the Holden Lutheran Cemetery.
