Helen B. Quint, 72, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. Helen was born September 5, 1937 in New Ulm, Minnesota the daughter of Roy and Lillian (Iverson) Martin. She attended school in Mapleton graduating from Mapleton High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to Robert Quint on May 28, 1955 in Wells. They moved to Mankato and Helen was an at home mom and homemaker. Robert was transferred to Owatonna while he was working for Truth. Here Helen worked as a book keeper for Pamida and later for Truth. She retired in 2000. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family camping. Her grandchildren adored her and she enjoyed playing games and taking them to the park. She is survived by her husband Robert Quint of Owatonna; three sons, Steve (and Susan) Quint of Lakeville; John (and Kristina) Quint of Las Vegas; Craig (and Kam) Quint of Owatonna; a daughter, Lisa (and Bradley) Parker of Princeton; five grandchildren, Sara Quint, Kelsey Quint, Andrew Quint, Addison Parker, Devon Parker, a great grandson, Carter Lehmann; two brothers, Terry Martin of Littleton, CO; Randy (and Sheri) Martin of Winthrop; thee sisters, Sharlene (and Dennis) Kolbaske of Winthrop; Rita Schiro of Gaylord; and Sandy (and Gary) Bigler of Colorado Springs, CO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Larry and a sister, Ramona. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery, Owatonna.
