Obituary

Helen M. Wille, 89, of Kenyon, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Kenyon Sunset Home. Helen was born on September 13, 1919 in Faribault the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Tatge) Bauer. She was baptized, confirmed and a long-time member of St. John''s United Church of Christ in Wheeling Township. She was united in marriage to Lyle Wille on June 5, 1946 in St. Luke''s United Church of Christ in Faribault. Lyle died on May 23, 1996. Helen worked in Faribault until she married. She was a homemaker and worked side by side on the farm with her husband while raising their four children. She loved to garden, especially red flowers. Helen was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the women''s guild at St. John''s. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Berdell (and Allen) Berquam of Kenyon, Rochelle (and Wally) Caron of Kenyon, two sons, Richard (and Linda) Wille of Kenyon, Steven (and Mary) Wille of Kenyon, five granddaughters, Beth Schmoll, Shauna Swanepoel, Valerie Kapphahn, Michelle Thoreson and Jessica (Troy Mattson) Caron. Helen is also survived by four great grandchildren, Allison and Nathan Schmoll, Paige Swanepoel and Claire Kapphahn, two sister-in-laws, Myrtle Bauer of Faribault, and Darlene Houdek of Owatonna and two brother-in-laws, Duane Wille of Surprise, AZ, and Graden Reider of West Concord. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, her parents, four brothers, Herb, Elmer, Lawrence and Arthur and one sister, Elsie Pooch. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Thursday, March 19 from 5-7 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held March 20, 2009 at 1:30 PM at St. John's United Church of Christ with Reverend Jane Souhrada officiating.
