Helen E. Yauch, 95, of Owatonna, went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 5, 2011 at Traditions II of Owatonna. She was born October 31, 1915 in Thiensville, Wisconsin to Jacob and Emma Peppler. As a young woman Helen worked in a manufacturing facility in Racine, WI, in support of the WWII effort. She attended Moody Bible Institute where she met and subsequently married her husband, Robert A. Yauch in 1944. Bob and Helen served the Lord for over forty years, pastoring in several Baptist churches, most notably Calvary Baptist Church in Sauk City, WI which they were instrumental in founding in the early 1950's. She is survived by two children Pastor Thomas (Suzanne) Yauch of Farmington, and Ruth (Dennis) McDowell of Middleton, WI; six grandchildren Ashley, Tara, and Alex Yauch, Ellyse (Zach) Elmhorst, David Mowitz, Amy (Scott) Recob and two great grandchildren Mollie and Maxwell Recob with a third to arrive in a few months. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob in 1992, two sisters, and one brother. Visitation will be at Grace Baptist Church Friday one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Friday February 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas Yauch officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. The Yauch family would like to extend a special thanks to Mother's special friend and caregiver, Judy Hovey of Owatonna for her years of devotion, love and kindness. To the staff at Traditions II and Owatonna Hospice we extend our gratitude for their gentle care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or Owatonna Area Hospice. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
