IvaDell Jane Armstrong, 95, of Owatonna, died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Koda Living Community. She was born December 24, 1922 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota the daughter of Otto and Rose (Lavitschke) Behnke. She was united in marriage to Robert Armstrong on December 28, 1941 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Good Thunder. They farmed near Good Thunder and Vernon Center. In 1960 the family moved to Owatonna and continued farming. IvaDell worked in the Owatonna Hospital and also at E.F. Johnson in Waseca for 25 years. She was member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a 4-H leader and former member of the Eagles Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening, baking, cooking, reading her bible, needlework and loved her church circle. She is survived by her children, Judy Armstrong, Shannon Armstrong, David (Linda) Armstrong, Becky (Randy) Rose; sisters Bonnie and Fern; brother, Dale; grandchildren, Scott (Angela) Armstrong, Stacy (Josh) Paur, Katie (John) O'Brien, BJ Armstrong, Greg, Shelly, Sheila, Lori and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Rose Behnke; husband, Robert Armstrong; daughter, Susan Armstrong; grandson, Kirk Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Pauline Armstrong; siblings, Duane, Bobby, Mavis. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 am with visitation 1 hour prior at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Owatonna with Pastor Kirk Griebel officiating.
