Jacob Joseph Edward Baalson, 19, of Kenyon, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 from injuries resulting in an automobile accident in Goodhue County. He was born March 6, 1992 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Barry and Jennifer (Brandon) Baalson. Jacob was attending Kenyon-Wanamingo High School and soon to graduate. He was very active with the wrestling program at school, and enjoyed everything to do with wrestling. He was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstrand. Jacob loved the outdoors along with hunting and fishing, he also liked to hang out with his friends. Jacob was very creative and enjoyed inventing things. He was a caring, loving, and very sensitive person who will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by parents Barry and Jennifer Baalson of Kenyon, sisters Nicole Brandon Baalson and friend Mark Peterson of Nerstrand, Heather Baalson and friend Scott Berg and Leah Baalson all of Wanamingo, and brother Joseph Baalson of Rochester, nephews Cooper and Rowan Brandon, and niece Piper Baalson. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Roger (and Kay) Baalson of Nerstrand, maternal grandmother Maxine Brandon of Faribault, special friend Nicole Groth of Zumbrota, his second family Wayne and Donna Lexvold and family, his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Warren 'Pete' Brandon, maternal great grandparents Warren A. (and Catherine) Brandon, paternal great grandparents Eugene (and Aileen) Anderson, and Rudy (and Stella) Baalson. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Tuesday March 22, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Grace Lutheran Church- Nerstrand on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church- Nerstrand with Pastor Judy Gustafson officiating. Interment will be in the Valley Grove Cemetery in Nerstrand.
