Jacob Paul Van de Loo, 34, of Zimmerman, died unexpectedly of natural causes Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence.
He was born March 7, 1983 in Fort Worth, Texas the son of Randy and Darlene (Miller) Van de Loo. He lived in Grand Prairie, Texas until age nine when he moved with his family to Minneapolis where he attended King's Christian Academy and Minneapolis South High School. He graduated from South High School in 2001. He continued his education at Dunwoody Institute and graduated in 2005. He worked at various jobs including cooking, banking, sales and most recently at Freight Quote for six years.
He enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing disc golf, playing video games, movies and was an artist creating many drawings. His passion was Bridge For Troubled Youth in Minneapolis which he generously supported.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Darlene Van de Loo of Kenyon; grandmother, Barbarah Van de Loo of Kenyon; aunts, Belinda (Karl) Kuhn of Minneapolis and Barbarah (Kent) Christophersen of South St. Paul; God parents, Dean and Brenda Lackey of Midlothian, TX; and his God son, Logan Willford son of Robert and Jamie of Eagan.
He was preceded in death by grandmother Delores Labo and grandfathers, Elmer (Van) Van de Loo and Frank Miller.
Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Kenyon on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5-8pm. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 18th at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5212 - 41st Avenue S., Minneapolis.
In lieu of flowers, Jake would want you to remember his favorite charity, Bridge For Troubled Youth in Minneapolis.
