James "Jim" Nass Whiteis, 88, died April 10, 2021 in Owatonna, MN. He was interred at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Jim was born December 8, 1932 in Owatonna, Minnesota to Ross and Merel (Nass) Whiteis. He grew up in Owatonna and graduated in 1951 from Owatonna High School. He continued his education at Dunwoody Trade School in Minneapolis from 1951-1953. He served in the Army as an operations clerk from 1953-1955. Following his military service he worked at Spitzack Lumber as a home designer and estimator. He designed hundreds of homes in the Owatonna and the surrounding area. He spent many years working in real estate until his retirement. He is survived by his son Joe (MN) and two siblings, Joyce (MN) and Clayton (IA). He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Merel and brother, Dale.
