James D Larson, age 66, passed away at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester on July 5th surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 5, 1952 in Owatonna the son of Stan and Grace (Arett) Larson. He lived and worked his entire life in the local area. James loved his family, animals and the beauty of nature. He had a great love for Jesus and was a blessing to his family and all who knew and loved him. His laugh was contagious and he lit up a room with his smile. He is survived by his siblings, Arlene (and Ron) Myers of Cottage Grove, John Larson of Claremont, Mary Bahl of Sterling, AK, Pamela Spindler of Claremont, Judy Larson (John Huper) of Owatonna, Jeff (and Tammy) Larson of Blooming Prairie and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,Stan and Grace (Arett) Larson, sister-in-law, Gail Larson and brother-in-law Russ Bahl A Celebration of Life service will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna on Monday, July 16th at 11am with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Aurora Lutheran Church Cemetery following lunch. Memorials are welcome in lieu of flowers to Steele County Humane Society or to the donor's choice.
