Obituary

James Erling Marcuson, 66, of Kenyon, died Monday, May 20, 2024 in Kenyon.

He was born November 25, 1957 in Faribault, Minnesota the son of Spurgeon "Sparkie" and Elizabeth "Bette" (Showalter) Marcuson.

On May 20, 1989 he was united in marriage to Faye Marie Weinrich, whom he met through a personal ad that he had placed in the Rochester Post Bulletin. They made their home in Kenyon where he made many friends in the community and at First Lutheran Church in Kenyon. His life was centered around helping Faye, and anyone in the community that needed a hand.

He is survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Anderson of Maplewood, Sue Klipsic of Oronoco, Michael Marcuson of Northfield, Stephen Marcuson of Faribault, and Bruce Marcuson of Faribault; brothers in law, Dave Weinrich of Nelson, WI, Wayne (Rose) Weinrich of Lake City, MN Alan (Vicki) Weinrich of Mondovi, WI and Brian (Wanda Spartz) Weinrich of Nelson, WI, sister in law, Kathleen (Tom) Schear of Alexander, IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Faye Marcuson; parents, Spurgeon and Elizabeth Marcuson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 2PM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with a visitation starting one hour prior to the service. Pastor Kris Ferken will be officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon Minnesota.
