James E. Measner , 57, of Claremont, Minnesota, died Friday, July 25, 2008 at his home. He was born January 9, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Louis and Martha (Runge) Measner. James was a long time resident of Steele County. He married Becky Lindberg on June 6, 1992. James enjoyed time spent with family and friends, hunting and fishing, racing and music. He was a veteran of US Air Force during the Vietnam War serving from 1969-1972. James was a member of the American Legion Post in Owatonna. He worked at Mercury in Faribault, Gandy''s, purchased the Claremont Pub in 2001 and also worked at Cybex. James is survived by his wife Becky (Lindberg) Measner of Claremont; his daughters Jamie (John) Leibeg of Hartland, Lisa (Randy) Hanson of Faribault, son Christopher (Jodi) Steele, of North Mankato; 9 grandchildren; brother, Pete Measner of Owatonna; nephew, Shawn Measner of Reno, NV., and many brother and sister in laws. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, July 28, 2008 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Donor''s Choice.
