James W. Zak, 62, of Owatonna, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. James was born May 4, 1947 in Owatonna the son of Wencl and Mary (Lang) Zak. Here James was raised and also attended Owatonna High School. Following school he continued making his home in Owatonna where he worked for Cedar Valley Services and then for Straight River Enterprise in Medford. Jim loved being outdoors and enjoyed going for walks. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing. Jim was the type of person that was always available and would do whatever you asked. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by brother, David (and Mary) Zak of Owatonna; two sisters, Patricia (and Jim) Kremer of Bigfork, MN; Kathy (and Craig) Washburn of Scottsdale, AZ and seven nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Wencl and Mary Zak, and a nephew Tony Kremer Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM . The memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Father John Sauer officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
