Jane Elizabeth Diffendorfer, 66, of Owatonna, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. She was born August 16, 1942 in Menomonie, Wisconsin the daughter of Gerald and Elizabeth (Pax) McLeod. Jane graduated from Menomonie High School. She married David Difffendorfer Jan 14, 1961 in Menomonie. After living in surrounding communities in southern Minnesota, the couple made their home in Owatonna in 1972. Jane worked for Wells Fargo bank (formerly Norwest Bank) for 28 years. She enjoyed birds, flowers and bargain hunting at rummage sales. Jane was an avid Packers fan. Jane is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (and Amy Honsey) Diffendorfer of Rochester, Cindy (and Frank) Green of Ellendale; sons, Tim Diffendorfer of Duluth, Brian (and Tammy Zvorak) Diffendorfer of Owatonna; nine grandchildren, Justin, Keslie, Maison, Nicholas, Nicole, Braeden, Spencer, Jessalyn, Addison; brothers, Malcolm 'Butch' (and Diane) McLeod of Amery, WI, Michael (and Dianne) McLeod of Menomonie, WI, Dan (and Jen) McLeod of Menomonie, WI; sisters, Betsy Gilyard of Buffalo, Mary (and Steve) Shafer of Hutchinson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, David. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8pm and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 10:30am at Michaelson Funeral Home.
